What is Fiddle App?
Fiddle App is an Android utility for exploring installed apps and their activities, reviewing known opening restrictions, reaching useful system settings, and saving important items.
Which Android versions are supported?
Fiddle App supports Android 7.0 and later.
What is an Android activity?
An Android activity is usually a screen or entry point inside an app. An app can expose more than the normal screen opened from its icon; Fiddle App lists the activities Android reports and shows availability and known restrictions before an open request.
Why does Fiddle App need broad app visibility?
A complete installed-app catalog requires visibility beyond the limited set Android normally exposes. Fiddle App uses that visibility to show installed apps and their activities.
Can Fiddle App read another app’s private data?
Broad app visibility does not grant access to another app’s private files or in-app content. It also does not override Android’s permission model.
Does Fiddle App need root access?
No. Fiddle App neither requires nor provides root access.
Can Fiddle App open every activity?
No. Private, disabled, protected, unavailable, or otherwise restricted activities may not open. Fiddle App checks known restrictions first, but Android always makes the final decision.
Why can an activity close immediately after opening?
Some activities are designed for internal use, require information Fiddle App cannot provide, or finish immediately. Android accepting a request does not guarantee that the target will remain visible or behave like a normal app screen.
What are Useful settings?
Useful settings are validated routes to common Android settings. When a device does not expose the exact destination, Fiddle App may offer a related page or Settings home and explain the fallback.
Where are saved items stored?
Saved items and preferences remain in Fiddle App data on your device and are not backed up by Fiddle App.
How do I clear local data?
Use Clear all local data in Fiddle App settings. You can also clear the app’s storage through Android settings.
How do I install Fiddle App?
Download the APK from the Install page, allow installation from that source if Android asks, and open the downloaded file. Confirm the app is named Fiddle App and uses application ID app.fiddle. Keep Android’s security protections enabled.
How do I update Fiddle App?
Return to the Install page, download the APK again, and open it. Future Fiddle App builds with the same application ID and signing key can update in place. Earlier Activity Atlas builds use application ID com.activity.atlas, install separately, and do not transfer their local saved data.
Does Fiddle App use analytics?
A build configured with Firebase Analytics sends standard automatic lifecycle data and a small allowlisted set of product and reliability events. Package names, component names, labels, searches, intent data, inspected app details, and raw errors are excluded. Builds without Firebase configuration use no product analytics.
Why is Fiddle App distributed as an APK?
Fiddle App is provided directly for off-store installation. Use only the download link on this website and follow the safety guidance on the Install page.
